My favorite memory of Sherry was riding bikes together, camping in the backyard and spending the night at her house. I was happy to catch up with her at our reunion last year! Take care friend!

We met Sheila Traut in 2009 at our first Melonseed Midwest Rendezvous (MSMR). We are a group of sailors who meet once a year to sail the little gunning dory, the Melonseed Skiff. Even though it had been a year, we inevitably start up in our friendships where we left off. Sheila was nostalgic in memorable MSMR fun times and people. She even had a quilt made with our yearly commemorative t-shirts. She wanted us to sign it as we were members of her family. She always asked about our families, was ready with a game, and was quick to laugh. Until we meet again, Sheila, sail on and watch over us.

Sheila made me smile with her quick witt and sassy personality. She was always quick to give me a hug when we crossed paths. Thank you for a being a friend, Sheila.
